    The Registered Nurses and Health Care Practitioners provide an exceptionally high quality nursing service, ensuring each resident has an individual, holistic plan of care that meets every need.

    The home has on-going medical support from the local G.P. practice that visits on a regular basis. All the staff play a vital role in ensuring every resident receives optimum care and comfort at all times.

    Care and Comfort

    Set in secure landscaped gardens Silvercale Care is a purpose built nursing home, recently fully renovated to enhance the comfort, quality and efficiency of care in a holistic, person centred and friendly manner, thus ensuring optimum care for all our residents’ complex physical, psychological and social care needs.

    All areas within the home are decorated to the highest standard and quality.

    All our public areas, lounges and dining rooms have been designed to create a homely, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. All our bedrooms are single with their own en-suite shower, toilet and wash hand basin.

    We do have three double rooms available. Bedrooms have an up to date nurse call system with motion sensors and electronic 4 section profiling beds.

    All rooms have their own uniquely assigned private high speed FIBRE wireless internet and a complimentary streaming-services enabled (Netflix etc) wall-mounted Philips Ambilight TV.

    Residents may personalise their own rooms by bringing any items of furniture or ornaments and prior to admission may select their own choice of room colour.

    The home offers beautiful fully accessible landscaped gardens that include raised flower beds.

    Catering

    Our in-house chefs and catering team provide a varied daily menu using fresh, local ingredients, whilst taking individual preferences into account and ensuring that any special dietary needs are met.

    Residents are offered a choice of homemade dishes and freshly prepared snacks each day, which they may enjoy in the comfort of their own room, or in our Bistro style dining room where family are very welcome to join them.

    Hot and cold drinks are available at any time of the day or night in addition to the morning coffee and afternoon tea snack trolley.

    Social and Leisure Activites

    Social activities play a fundamental part to residents overall wellbeing. Our activities co-ordinator designs a comprehensive monthly programme to provide a wide range of leisure activities to suit a variety of social needs. Our own disabled minibus ensures residents can participate in a range of day trips and outings and our sensory room enables residents to unwind in a relaxing environment. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit and participate in any of our activities.

    Physiotherapy

    We recognise the importance of continued therapy. Physiotherapy can be obtained via G.P. referral and can be performed on-site within the home.

    Domestic Services

    We recognise the importance of meticulous infection control and cross contamination. All rooms and public areas are cleaned to a high standard daily. Every endeavour is taken to ensure residents personal laundry is undertaken to a high standard.

    Additional Services

    Various local ministers of Religion conduct monthly services and also frequently visit the home. Hairdressing is offered weekly at an additional fee. Newspapers are offered daily (at an extra charge) and delivered to your room.

    REGISTERED NURSES

    We are looking to recruit 6 experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Silverdale Care Home.

    The Candidate will be a RN or RMN with an active unrestricted NMC PIN.

    Duties include providing nursing care to residents, administering medications, writing and maintaining care plans, assessing residents and their needs on a regular basis, liaising with allied professionals & supervising care staff etc. The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective supervision of staff members and to take management responsibilities for shifts as directed.

    The candidate will ensure meaningful involvement of residents in all activities, applying equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory policies and ensuring rights to privacy & confidentiality. To maintain skills at a current level undertaking relevant training and education to develop you as an individual within your role. To update your skills and knowledge as required to ensure the residents within the home receive the best care possible. The candidate is expected to support the Manager / Deputy Manager in providing leadership with the care staff within Silverdale Care Home. To provide person-centred care to residents within this home in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements. This includes policies and procedures, minimum standards and regulation of care act 2013 under the direct supervision of the Deputy Manager and Manager.

    HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS

    We are looking to recruit experienced health care assistants to join our team at Silverdale Care Home.

    As a Health Care Assistant your role is to provide dignified and individualised support to older people who may require extra assistance. You will work as part of an established team providing support to our residents with day to day care. You will need to be a kind, caring individual who likes to provide care and support helping others. Principal Duties Include: To assist in providing highest standards of personal care and attention for the residents. To assist with personal hygiene as per care plan. Providing support at mealtimes, helping to serve meals, prepare tables. Promote independence and wellbeing of our residents. To be polite and helpful at all times i.e. appropriate conduct and attitude towards the residents, visitors and colleagues at all times.

    We are offering day and night shifts (you will need to advise if you have a preference). This role is physically demanding but also provides the opportunity to learn and grow and ensure that our residents are provided with a high standard of person- centred care. A full induction programme will be provided upon commencement of employment.

    We are looking to recruit 1 full time Housekeeper/Laundry assistant to join our team at Silverdale Care Home. The successful candidate won't necessarily need to have experience working with older people in nursing care (although this would be ideal).

  • The Grosvenor Wing

    The unit is housed within Silverdale Care and specialises in the care of the Elderly Mentally Infirm who suffer from a wide variety of mental health problems.

    This specialised unit houses 17 residents and encourages a relaxed and total individual approach to care. Each resident is offered their own front door with a memory box situated outside their room.

    The unit offers a range of visual and sensory prompts to simulate memory and promote independence and freedom within a safe and secure environment.

    The wing offers the sensory room and has its own secure garden with raised flowerbeds and a never ending path as well as tailored activities to suit individual needs
